Once your 40 years old and never been personally or professionally a sucess --- well the chances of you suceeding at anything are slim. Prior to becoming First Selectman John Metsopolous really has no success to talk about. Since becoming First Selectman John has no success to talk about....Should we be surprised? He talks about being in the legislature for 10 years --- yet there is no legislation he can point to that he sponsored. In fact there is very little participation he can point to. He campaigned with pictures of kids --- yet he has never been married and knows nothing about the difficulties of trying to raise a family. He raises taxes with wild abandon -- yet until after he was elected first selectman John had not owned property in Fairfield or paid any taxes on real estate.... He really doesn't understand how raising taxes can hurt a families finances! As far as I can tell he has never served on any charitible board, never volunteered any time to any charitible activities, never supported any civic group .. in fact I'm not sure he even had a library card! Was he busy building a career??? We haven't heard much about his professional responsibilities have we? ....... So we can only assume that, like everything else about John, there wasn't much to that either. It's not mean to say .... Once you're fourty and never been successful ... Well you probably never will be! It's just a fact. Let's support ANYBODY BUT JOHN and let John go find some success ... if he can!
