Both my grandparents are survivors of the Shoah, the Holocaust. All of my Grandpa's immediate family perished, some of them right in front of his own eyes. My Grandmother lost of all her family in the Warsaw Revolt. They came to Bridegport in the 1947 and later moved to Fairfield in the 1950s...they built a successful bussiness together and own a beautiful. True to the American Dream. Last April my family and I, along with my grandparents attended the interfaith service at the First Church to commerate Yom H'Shoah. The first selectman made some remarks during the service. I have never heard such ignorance in my life! He had no idea what to say, so instead he made a fool of himself...he talked about Christmas, I guess trying to make a connection between the two. The Shoah. Christmas. No Connection! Last year, I took my 4 year old daughter to the town wide treat or treat on the Post Road. Mr. John was dressed as a Vampire. Proving that he is a blood sucker and lowly man.
