Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Just because a person has a different opinion does not warrant name calling. Young or old, your opinions about the issues are important. I you want your message to remain on the board, please stop the name calling.

I actually think the web site is funny. It's real value is if John Metsopolous reacts. Which, if you have ever seen him in a public meeting, you know that's exactly what he is doing. Now to the military metaphors --- please! This is not a war or the military and John is not a King or a general. Remember -- it's a representative Town meeting form of goverment. Fifty votes in the RTM, 2 Selectman votes, 9 Board of Finance votes and lots of Boards and commissions. Actually on most issues his vote is only advisory. He's paid not to make the decisions but to implement them!!!!!! The decisions are to be made by the Boards and commissions. The problem is John can't see anybodys view but his own. So rather than work cooperatively to get things implemented he makes back room deals and tries to do people in. (It's rumoured that he carries a list in his wallet of anyone who voted in favor of the firemen. It's a good bet this is a true rumour.) What's ailing John -- A good diagnosis might be he has short man's disease. Yes the Firefighter are angry but so are the School Board, the Building Committee, the Friends of Open Space, the Mill Hill Association, the Board of Finance, the Conservation Committee etc. etc.--- even a Rotary member wrote a song supporting Mary. The creators of this web site just beat these groups to the punch in putting it together. The blame for the web site belongs to John. You see by doing in his friends, plotting to do bad things to people, yelling in public, degrading Town employees, accusing Flatto of trying to hit him, being overheard using profanity in a public meeting, poking at Felner, scaring the heck out of RTM members and lots and lots of other things he lost the right to be treated kindly. I think the Web site is just showing that "What goes around comes around". If John would like to be First Selectman he needs to earn the right and he definately didn't do that in the last two years. The blame belongs to John not to the creators of this web site.
