If John is such the man, You would know how to spell "the Man's" name. I know first hand that the firefighter's don't just sit and watch movies all day. My father retired as a Fairfield Firefighter. It takes a special person to become a firefighter. Anyone can sit behind one of these computers all day and "work", but when the bell hits and the firefighters are going out to help someone; that's when the REAL work must be done. The men and women of the Fire Dept. are not crying over the amount of money they recieve. They are concerned with their safety and the safety of the people of Fairfield. An additional firefighter, per shift, is what they were seeking. This additional firefighter would certainly not put any more money in any of the firefighters pockets. It would simply be an addition. It would be someone else working to protect you as well as themselves. I just pray that this is seen before a real tragedy occurs. To the Fairfield's Bravest; Stay safe, stay low, and God be with you!
