I grew up with John's mother, Sophie, who was like a sister to me. She was a lovely person with a great heart and a brilliant mind. I am sorry to state that John is not his mother's son. I called John about twelve times, prior to his even seeking office, and he never returned one call. Yet when he wanted to run for congress once, he had his grandfather call me to inquire of another friend of mine, who held a seat on the Republican State Committee, if John would have support if he ran for the US Congress. My friend, stated: "Tell the kid to forget it." I reported back to John's grandfather, that John needs more experience etc etc ,just to be kind. But politicians tell me that merely inquiring on John's behalf was a favor. But John never even thanked me, let alone return a favor. Now I hear that he is considered by many people to be arrogant, and mean. He goes around town hall using the F word and calling town employees names such as "<<Removed by Administrator - click for details>> ___hole.' This was reported to me by highly credible sources. But he knows how to turn on the charm at election time. He is a great campaigner but a lousy administrator. Ironically, when John worked as a waiter at the now defunct "Steak & Brew" I used to tell him, don't forget that I grew up with your mother and that she was like a sister to me." John would respond, "I know. I know." But after all these years, John did not even return my calls.
